The necessity of radiation measurement has beenincreasing since the accident at the Fukushima nuclear powerplant. But general radiation detector is very expensive. So itis difficult to increase the number of radiation monitoringstations. On the other hand, inexpensive radiation measuringinstruments have been sold for private use. So our purpose isto develop the system that enables us to collect and transmitradiation information with using a portable radiation detector.Then we developed sensor network to collect radiationinformation using a portable radiation detector. Powerconsumption of sensor nodes were reduced about 40% bysleep function. We confirmed operation with four sensornodes. We developed web application that helps to collectand transmit radiation information of both wireless sensornetwork and radiation monitoring stations operating inMaizuru.
