This study aimed at finding out the degree of practicing communication skills by Jordanian secondary school principals in Amman governorate, and its relation to trust level in their schools from teachers’ point of view. The sample consisted of 350 teachers. A communication skills questionnaire was constructed, and a trust scale built by Hoy & Tschannen-Moran (2003) was translated into Arabic to collect data. The findings of the study were: (1) the degree of practicing communication skills by secondary school principals was high, in general and for each skill, (2) the level of trust in secondary schools was on average in general and for each area, (3) there were significant relationships at (α≤0.05) between the degree of practicing communication skills and the three areas of trust. In light of the findings, it was recommended that training courses for secondary school principals should be organized, with emphasis on the importance of trust on educational process. It was suggested that a study should be conducted to find out the relationship between communication skills of secondary school principals and teachers’ motivation and attitudes toward the profession.
