Objective:  To analyze the resource of the laboratory in the region for the development of interactive education. Methods: analysis of the literature devoted to contextual training, competence approach, active and interactive teaching methods, and practical experience of the refresher courses for teachers in the region. The article presents the issues of continuing professional education, particularly the implementation of competence-approach improving the professional qualifications of teachers, the idea of an interactive education in the North Caucasian Federal Region. As a  problem solving the author considers searching of current forms of teachers’ refresher course in the field of an interactive education, allowing successfully combination of theory and practice.
