The paper examines the co-dependency of employee work and victimisation in the workplace. The mediating role of employee co-dependency is investigated through the relationship between two variables, age and workplace victimisation. The results indicate a significant positive relationship between co-dependency and victimisation. In addition, co-dependency is found to be a mediator between age and victimisation. The paper concludes by arguing that instead of dealing with workplace harassment/bullying only through legal means, a preventive intervention targeting victimisation
