The entire bean as culture responds to growth characteristics in accordance with the amount of available water in the soil. The objective was to evaluate the influence of different irrigation and fertilization blades in the growth parameters of the root system, water content in the stem, the leaf, shoot and leaf area ratio of the common bean. The experimental design was the randomized blocks analyzed in split plot 7 x 4 totaling 28 treatments with three replications. The treatments consisted of four irrigation levels and seven fertilizer formulations. After washing, they were measured bean roots with the aid of a graduated scale fifty centimeters. The root volume for each treatment with the aid of a 500 mL graduated cylinder to the nearest 0,5 mL. The root dry matter through her dry weight in an oven for 48 hours at 65 degrees. The water content of the plant has been achieved by immersing the containers in leaves and stems with distilled water for two hours. The soil at field capacity provided the greatest results for both root growth and for the water content in the leaves, stems, shoots and leaf area ratio.
