The present work had as objective the construction of altimetric Digital Elevation Models (DEMs), through four different methods of data interpolation, based on level curves and quoted points presents in topographical maps and comparing the results to control altimetric points collected in field through topographical survey with Differential Global Positioning system (DGPS), aiming the evaluation of results from generated models and its applicability to this purpose, also analyzing its correlation to the reality, the fidelity to the sampled data and its computer practicality as well. The interpolated methods applied were: Minimum Curvature; Considered Inverse Distance; Triangulation and Algorithm of Morphologic Function. It was verified that all four analyzed digital elevation models presented high correlations (R = 0.93) for the interpolation of altimetric attributes. The DEM of Minimum Curvature presented better performance and effectiveness when compared to the other studied models.
