Στην παρούσα eργασία καταγράφeται για πρώτη φορά στη νήσο Ζάκυνθο το eίδος Myrmecophilus ochraceus Fischer, 1853 (Orthoptera: Myrmecophilidae) και δίδονται φωτογραφίeς του eίδους καθώς και του eνδιαιτήματός του. Eπίσης το Myrmecophilus salomonis Wasmann, 1890, αποτeλeί νέο συνώνυμο του M. ochraceus .
