The effect of applied sound wave passed through the bottom of a cylindrical tank, which has a column of small diameter at the inlet in order to originate the Karman vortex as a known disturbance and through which liquid flows, was investigated experimentally by injecting a tracer stepwise at the inlet of the tank. It was made clear that a low-frequency sound wave having almost the same frequency as that of the Karman vortex promotes micro mixing, represented by fluctuations having a lower frequency than that of the Karman vortex.
