蒸発速度の小さい水滴, n-オクタン滴, 蒸発速度の大きいn-ヘキサン滴, n-ペンタン滴について, 液滴の前方に固体球を配置して蒸発実験を行い, 液滴の蒸発速度に及ぼす固体球の影響を実験的立場から検討した.蒸発速度の小さい液滴の蒸発速度は固体球の大きさ, 液滴の大きさ, および中心間距離によって影響を受けることがわかった.また, これらのパラメータを用いて液滴の蒸発速度に及ぼす固体球の影響を表す相関式を提案した.蒸発速度の大きいn-ペンタン滴の蒸発速度は, 高物質流束効果の影響があることがわかった.そこで, 単一液滴の高物質流束効果の相関式で補正し, 物性の変化を考慮することで, 実測値は, 上述の相関式に良好に一致した.
