In order to accurately measure the ve loc ity o f m oving object in real t im e, th is paper presented a m ethod fo r measuring the ve loc ity o f m oving objects based on single hand-eye v is ion. In th is m ethod, a portab le camera is used to capture the m oving b a ll, tak ing V S2010 p la tfo rm O penC V as the development p la tfo rm , and m oving object detection based on fram e difference m ethod is realized. In th is paper, the ve loc ity measurement a lgo rith m can realize the detection o f the horizon ta l ve loc ity and ve rtica l ve loc ity. Experim ents show th a t th is m ethod can effec tive ly measure the ve loc ity o f m oving objects w ith h igh accuracy.
