Compared w ith the trad itio n a l contact measurement m ethod, the non-contact m ethod fo r heart rate detection is m ore convenient and com fortable. Based on the non-contact heart rate measurement m ethod o f image-photop le thys­ m ography (iPP G) , th is paper b rie fly analyzed the mechanism o f th is m ethod and the measurement e rro r o f co lor space. T he experim ent compares the measurement e rro r according to the d iffe re n t co lor space, w h ich proves the necessity o f selecting the co lor space during the non-contact heart rate measurement. O n the other hand ,o p tim a l co lor space can be used to im prove the accuracy o f heart rate measurement accuracy o f the co lor space. T he experim ental resu lts show tha t the heart rate measurement w ith R G B co lor space has the sm allest e rro r compared w ith the heart rate obtained by elec­ trocard iograph (ECG) at the same tim e. T he average e rro r o f experim ent is 1. 68 bpm. T h u s, choosing R G B co lor in non-contact heart rate measurement space can get h igher accuracy.
