Background Study the pathological features, extent of treatment, and epidemiological distribution of laryngeal carcinoma among Egyptian female patients. Results The study population consisted of 34 female patients treated for laryngeal cancer at the Otolaryngology Department, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, between 2011 and 2017. The data were collected in a retrospective manner, based on the analysis of patients’ medical records. The mean age of the total cohort is 56.5 years. Twenty-six patients (76.5%) had supraglottic carcinoma, 7 patients (20.5%) had glottic carcinoma, and only 1 patient (3%) had subglottic tumor. The regional disease of the neck affected 18% of the patients. Ninety-one percent of the patients showed a moderate degree of tumor differentiation. Conclusion There may be important gender differences in laryngeal sub-site incidence for patients with laryngeal carcinoma.
