In this paper, we discuss a kind of ϕ-Laplacian Rayleigh equation with strong singularity (ϕ(u′(t)))′+f(t,u′(t))+g(u(t−τ))=e(t).$$\bigl(\phi\bigl(u'(t)\bigr)\bigr)'+f \bigl(t,u'(t)\bigr)+g\bigl(u(t-\tau)\bigr)=e(t). $$ By application of the Manásevich-Mawhin continuation theorem, we obtain the existence of a positive periodic solution for this equation.
