Purpose PFAPA is an autoinflammatory syndrome of childhood characterized by recurrent attacks of fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and adenitis. The underlying immune disorder is poorly understood, albeit activation of Th1 related cytokines has been observed.
