The etiology of Kawasaki disease (KD) is un-known. Typically, it affects children 5 years old or younger. It has also been diagnosed in older children and adolescents. One of the most serious and common complications is the development of coronary artery aneurysm(s). The following is a case report showing transthoracic echocardiography as an effective, noninvasive method to evaluate the coronary arteries in children. It is beneficial in the event of an isolated distal coronary artery aneurysm as seen in this case.
