Young consumers are the stylish shoppers who have a strong tendencyto follow the latest fashion. With the rapid changes in the fashion trends, theoverconsumption of clothing has had a significant environmental impact on society.Hence, there is a need to understand how young fashionable consumers are disposing theirunwanted clothes. The survey was conducted among 205 young respondents, and the resultsshow that clothing disposal behavior is affected by philanthropic awareness and mediatedby the attitude toward clothing disposal. Interestingly, environmental economic factorsonly influence clothing disposal behavior through the attitude toward the disposal ofclothing. The findings provide a valuable insight into the government and relatedauthorities or organizations in developing strategies to encourage young consumers toincrease their clothing-recycling rate, and, thus, eliminate the environmental issues innear future
