The introduction and establishment of PWN in\udthe Setubal Peninsula, Portugal (Mota et al., 1999),\udand the evidence that Monochamus galloprovincialis is\udits insect vector in this country (Sousa et al., 2001),\udhas stimulated studies on its further distribution and its\udpotential vector insects in Europe, including Spain.
