Previously, we have shown that a premature stimulus can significantly modulate spatial gradients of ventricular repolarization (ie, modulated dispersion), which result from heterogeneous electrophysiological properties between cells. The role modulated dispersion may play in determining electrical instability in the heart is unknown.
