Absolute coronary flow velocity reserve (CVR) after stenting may remain abnormal as a result of several different mechanisms. Relative CVR (rCVR=CVR(target)/CVR(reference)) theoretically normalizes for global microcirculatory disturbances and facilitates interpretation of abnormal CVR.
