CDCCenters for Disease Control and Prevention], 1983. godine opisuje Sažetak U prošlosti, perkutane ubodne ozljede i izloženost sluznica smatrane su prihvatljivim profesionalnim rizikom za kirurga i druge djelatnike u operacijskoj dvorani. Unatrag 10 godina kirurzi i djelatnici u operacijskoj sali prihvaćali su povećani rizik nastanka ozljeđivanja, i to zbog nedostatka vjerodostojnih dokaza o uporabi metoda smanjenja učestalosti nastanka ozljeda i nedostatka sigurnosnih uređaja ili prihvatljive alternativne radne prakse. Kako je učestalost infekcija koje se prenose s krvlju velika,zdravstveni bi djelatnici kontinuirano trebali dopunjavati znanje prevencije nastanka ozljeđivanja, te znanje o potencijalnim opasnostima koja uzrokuju infekcije prenosive krvlju. Kirurg, medicinska sestra/tehničar i drugi djelatnici u operacijskoj dvorani kontinuirano surađuju. Kao jedna od pojava takve suradnje ozljede nastaju sličnim mehanizmom kod svih navedenih djelatnika. Povećani rizik za nastanak ozljeđivanja postoji kod operacijskih zahvata duljeg vremenskog trajanja. Naši rezultati pokazuju kako se 16% ozljeda događa pri dodavanju oštrih instrumenata. Kako bi se smanjila učestalost nastanka ubodnih incidenata kod članova operacijskog tima, važno je proučiti uzroke nastanka ozljeda tijekom operacijskog zahvata. Ključne riječi: ubodne ozljede • prevencija • operacijska dvorana • sigurnost Kratki naslov: metode prevencije protiv nastanka ozljeđivanja u operacijskoj dvorani Abstract In the past, percutaneous puncture injuries and exposure of mucous membranes to injuries have been deemed as acceptable occupational risk for surgeons and other health staff in the operating room. Until 10 years ago, surgeons and staff in the operating room accepted increased risk of injury due to the lack of credible evidence on the use of methods of reducing the incidence of injury and lack of safety devices or acceptable alternative working practices. Since the incidence of infections that are transmitted with blood are at the significant size, it is necessary that health professionals continuously updated knowledge about the prevention measures of injury, and knowledge of the potential dangers that cause infections transmitted with blood. Every day, surgeon, nurse / technician and other staff in the operating room continuously cooperate. Sometimes results of such cooperation are injuries that are caused by a similar mechanism of all these workers. Increased risk of injury existed when the surgical procedures were performed due extended time period. The represented results show that 16% of injuries occur when surgical instruments are passed among surgical staff. To reduce the frequency and occurrence of accidental injuries among members of the operating team, it is important to study the causes of injuries that occur during surgery.
