A baryonic chemical potential is included in the linear sigma model at finitetemperature. The effective mesonic potential is numerically calculated usingthe midpoint technique. The meson masses are investigated as functions of thetemperature at fixed value of baryonic chemical potential. The pressure andenergy density are investigated as functions of temperature at fixed value ofchemical potential. The obtained results are in good agreement in comparisonwith other techniques. We conclude that the calculated effective potentialsuccessfully predicts the meson properties and thermodynamic properties atfinite baryonic chemical potential.
