Over the past fiscal year the University of Nebraska Computer Network has sponsored a Computer Augmented Instruction/Experimental Program (CAI/EP). The paper will discuss the CAI/EP from three perspectives: first, that of the Director of Academic Computing Services; second, that essentially pedagogic perspective of the faculty committee member; and third, that of one of the staff members responsible for implementing the program. In a later paper an effort will be made to summarize the reactions of the grant recipients and the effect of this on the second round of grants.
