Networked PC laboratories are constantly installing and removing various CAI packages and data sets for individual users as well as courses. A disk organization scheme was developed to help in installation, removal, data collection, and easy student access. A security scheme is included to allow students to collect handouts and submit homework without unauthorized file access or tampering. This organization is combined with a user-friendly menu system to allow novice users access to computers as an educational media (CAI, CMI, CBT) without prior computing skills.
