In this paper first we present our view upon interpreting fuzzy IF-THEN rules and rule bases. For the fixed interpretation according to the Compositional Rule of Inference with the standard fuzzy operators min and max we investigate the existence and shape of fixpoints for one rule resp. fix-mundis for rule bases. Various examples for the shapes are analysed and graphically displayed. Finally we propose an application in medical area. MOTIVATION
