Many believe that the push to increase the number of skilled computer scientists must be a multi-pronged approach and be institutionalized at all levels of education. Some federal and local governments are requiring that all students become proficient in technical areas in primary and secondary schooling. Will the call for all schools to teach every student coding be the magic bullet that unblocks the computing pipeline? Is adding another core subject to an already crowded curricula the answer?
