Properties of the 1S0 superfluid phase are studied for symmetric nuclearmatter at finite temperature. It is described within a covariant hadronic fieldmodel, of the sigma-omega type, with addition of density dependent correlationssimulating effects due to finite extension of nucleons. The model is solved ina selfconsistent Hartree-Bogoliubov approach, assuming instantaneousinteractions in the superfluid phase. A comparison with the results obtainedfrom several hadronic field models is done. Main characteristics of ourdescription of the superfluid gap are in qualitative agreement with somestudies using microscopic potentials, although further refinements couldimprove its performance.
