Laymen and sometimes even physicists think of natural sciences, in particularof theoretical and mathematical physics often as subjects, which unfoldaccording to an intrinsic logical pattern, with the limitations being set onlyby the conceptual and (in case of mathematical physics) mathematicaldevelopments of the times.
