The strong decays of the heavy baryons \Sigma^{(*)}_Q \to \Lambda_Q \pi arestudied by combining the chiral dynamics and the MIT bag model. In charmsector, we calculate the decay widths \Gamma(\Sigma^{(*)}_c\to \Lambda_c\pi)and compare with the experimental data and other theoretical estimations.
