The unprecedented capabilities of state-of-the-art segmentedgermanium-detector arrays, such as AGATA and GRETA, derive from the possibilityof performing pulse-shape analysis. The comparison of the net- andtransient-charge signals with databases via grid-search methods allows theidentification of the $\gamma$-ray interaction points within the segmentvolume. Their precise determination is crucial for the subsequentreconstruction of the $\gamma$-ray paths within the array via trackingalgorithms, and hence the performance of the spectrometer. In this paper theposition uncertainty of the deduced interaction point is investigated using thebootstrapping technique applied to $^{60}$Co radioactive-source data. Generalfeatures of the extracted position uncertainty are discussed as well as itsdependence on various quantities, e.g. the deposited energy, the number offiring segments and the segment geometry.
