The evaluation of the number of ways we can distribute energy among acollection of particles in a system is important in many branches of modernscience. In particular, in multiparticle production processes the measurementsof particle yields and kinematic distributions are essential for characterizingtheir global properties and to develop an understanding of the mechanism forparticle production. We demonstrate that energy distributions are connectedwith multiplicity distributions by their generating functions.
