On the basis of the experimental data allowing existence of the anomaliesgoing beyond the minimally extended Standard Model with three active neutrinoswith different masses, we consider the generalized model with three active andthree sterile neutrinos, one of which is relatively heavy ((3+1+2)-model). Westudy the basic characteristics that are used to describe the massive activeand sterile neutrinos, the methods to determine the absolute scale of neutrinomasses and the neutrino mass estimates based on the available experimentaldata. Taking into account the possible contributions of the sterile neutrinos,the dependences of the neutrino mass characteristics on the sterile neutrinomass are plotted. The results obtained can be used to interpret and to predictthe results of various neutrino experiments.
