We derive expressions for the energy, linear momentum, and angular momentumcontent of circularly polarized Laguerre-Gaussian wave-packets propagating infree space. The vectorial nature of the electromagnetic field is taken intoaccount, and the various consequences of paraxial approximation, which istypically invoked in theoretical treatments of the Laguerre-Gaussian beams, areexamined.
