A zipper (zip fastener) is generally a device for binding the edges of an opening of fabric or other flexible material. The zipper can join both materials at the same position. This characteristic is useful for manufacturers in replacing photomasks for recording holographic optical elements(HOEs). In this paper, we propose the accurate positioning method of detachable optical components by using zipper mechanism. In the holographic recording, it needs troublesome job and a lot of times to replace and adjust the photomask because manufacturers grope the optical parts in the dark room. So we have developed a novel component joint system in order to detach photomasks. We can have easily made an HOEs screen with various characteristics of diffractions. Moreover our proposed zipper connection system is also possible to connect electrical and/or optical links.
