Each year, flight enthusiasts from all over the globe descend on Oshkosh, Wis., for Air Venture, to see fighter jet fly-bys, world-class aerobatics, and outstanding fire works. But this past year, one of the highlights of the show’s Innovation Showcase was a GoFly Prize challenge set amidst a field of new technologies poised to transform the aeronautical industry. This article showcases a few of the innovative entries including an electric vertical take-off and landing drone and an octocopter.
