The title compound, C 26 H 48 N 4 Si 3 , was synthesized by the reaction of 2,2-dichlorotrisilane with 3,5-bis(dimethylamino)phenyllithium. In the molecule, the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 57.57 (7)° and the Si—Si—Si bond angle is 110.08 (2)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked  via  an SiC–H...π(aryl) interaction, forming a chain along the  c- axis direction.
