The synthesis and crystal structure of the title compound, C 28 H 28 O 2 , are reported. The C=C-C-C torsion angles in the phenyl-methyl-idene units are 166.6 (3) and -48.0 (4)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules form a three-dimensional network by means of weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The most important contributions to the crystal structure are the H⋯H inter-actions (68.8%), while the H⋯O contacts account for 4.5%.
