The title compound, C 15 H 18 N 4 O 7 , is a product of the substitution reaction of 5,5-di­bromo-1,3-di­methyl­barbituric acid with sodium sulfide in aqueous acetone. In the crystal, mol­ecules display neither inter­molecular nor intra­molecular hydrogen bonding and the two barbiturate rings adopt the keto form.
