In the title mol­ecule, C 20 H 15 N 3 , the atoms in the carbazole unit deviate from planarity [maximum deviation from mean plane = 0.1082 (15) Å]. The pyrrole ring makes dihedral angles of 3.17 (8)/4.10 (9), 7.20 (9) and 44.62 (9)° with the fused benzene, pyrazole and phenyl rings, respectively. In the crystal, mol­ecules are linked  via  N—H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming an infinite chain along [010]. Mol­ecules are further linked by nine π–π [centroid–centroid distances vary from 3.6864 (11) to 3.9802 (11) Å] and one C—H⋯π inter­action, forming a three-dimensional network.
