In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Cu(HCO 2 )(C 7 H 8 N 4 ) 2 ]ClO 4 , the Cu II  ion is octa­hedrally coordinated by one bidentate formate ion and two bidentate bis­(1 H -pyrazol-1-yl)methane ligands. There are C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds and π–π inter­actions [centroid–centroid distance = 3.487  (3) Å] in the crystal structure. The perchlorate anion is disordered over two positions with an occupancy ratio of 0.628 (9):0.372 (9).
