In the title compound, [HgI 2 (C 23 H 14 N 4 O)], the Hg II  atom is four-coordinated by two N atoms from one 1-(1 H -imidazo[4,5- f ][1,10]phenanthrolin-2-yl)naphthalen-2-ol ligand and by two I atoms in a distorted tetra­hedral environment. An intra­molecular O—H⋯N hydrogen bond stabilizes the mol­ecular conformation and an inter­molecular N—H⋯I inter­action stabilizes the crystal packing.
