The title compound, C 22 H 32 N 2 O 2 S, was obtained by dehydroxy­lation and deacetyl­ation of 4-{(1 S ,2 S )-2-(benzylhydroxy­amino)-3-methyl-1-[( S )-2-methyl­propane-2-sulfinylamino]but­yl}phenyl acetate, which was derived from reductive crosslinking of nitrone with  N - tert -butane­sulfinyl­imine. The crystal structure shows that the mol­ecules are linked by O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
