Controlling the electromagnetic helicity and directionality of the lightscattered by dielectric particles is paramount to a variety of phenomenology ofinterest in all-dielectric optics and photonics. In this Letter, we show thatthe conservation of the electromagnetic helicity in the scattering byhigh-index dielectric Mie spheres can be used as a probe of pure-multipolarspectral regions, particularly, of dipolar nature, beyond its presumed spectralinterval. This finding reveals that the dipolar behavior is not necessarilylimited to small particles, in striking contrast to the current state of theart. Interestingly, we demonstrate that the optimum forward light scatteringcondition, predicted for a particular nano-sphere in the limit of smallparticle, is fulfilled in fact at a fixed x size parameter for an infinitenumber of refractive indexes
