We evaluate the prospects for finding evidence of dark matter production atthe Large Hadron Collider. We consider WIMPs and superWIMPs, weakly- andsuperweakly-interacting massive particles, and characterize their propertiesthrough model-independent parameterizations. The observed relic density thenimplies lower bounds on dark matter production rates as functions of a fewparameters. For WIMPs, the resulting signal is indistinguishable frombackground. For superWIMPs, however, this analysis implies significantproduction of metastable charged particles.
