In models with extra dimensions that accommodate a TeV-scale gravity, smallblack holes could be produced in near future accelerator experiments. Suchsmall black holes, whose gravitational radius is mush smaller than thecharacteristic size of extra dimensions (compactification radius in flat or AdSradius in warped extra dimensions) can be very well described by asymptoticallyflat solutions, thus losing the information about the global geometry of theextra manifold. One might conclude that such small black holes would beindistinguishable in different scenarios. We argue that important differencesstill exist, especially regarding experimental signature in colliders, whichmay help us distinguish between the various extra dimensional scenarios. Themain differences come from the fact that most of the models with the warpedextra dimension have an additional discrete $Z_2$ symmetry that makes the branebehave as if it were an infinite tension brane.Comment: post-acceptance references adde
