Using simulations of glassy systems under steady-state shear, we compareeffective temperatures obtained from static linear response with those fromtime-dependent fluctuation-dissipation relations. Although these twodefinitions are not expected to agree, we show that they yield the same answerover two and a half decades of effective temperature. This suggests that a morecomplete conceptual framework is necessary for effective temperatures insteady-state driven systems.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figure
