Andreev quantum dot (AQD) is a superconducting junction where Bogolyubovquasiparticles can be trapped in discrete Andreev levels. We investigate thefeasibility of manipulating individual spin in an AQD. We show that AQD can bebrought into spin-1/2 state. The coupling between spin and superconductingcurrent facilitate manipulation and measurement of this state in comparisonwith common semiconductor quantum dots. We demonstrate that AQD's coupledinductively can serve as a solid-state base for universal quantum computing.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figure
