In a recent letter [PRL 86, 1 (2001)], Gollisch and Wetterich show that acareful treatment of discretization errors in a phase-space path integralformulation of quantum mechanics leads to a correction term as compared to thestandard form based on coherent states. We point out in this comment that theirapproach is not unique and that the coherent state path integral formalism,without correction term, yields the same result. It does this as long as known(but sometimes neglected) exponential convergence factors, which controldiscretization errors in this approach, are taken into account.Comment: 2 pages, no figures, to appear in Phys.
