A novel chiral interferometer is proposed that allows for a directmeasurement of the phase of the transmission coefficient for transport througha variety of mesoscopic structures in a strong magnetic field. The effects ofelectron-electron interaction on this phase is investigated with the use offinite-size bosonization techniques combined with perturbation theoryresummation.
