Semiconductor microresonators embedding quantum wells can host tightlyconfined and mutually interacting excitonic, optical and mechanical modes atonce. We theoretically investigate the case where the system operates in thestrong exciton-photon coupling regime, while the optical and excitonicresonances are parametrically modulated by the interaction with a mechanicalmode. Owing to the large exciton-phonon coupling at play in semiconductors, wepredict an enhancement of polariton-phonon interactions by two orders ofmagnitude with respect to mere optomechanical coupling: a near-unitysingle-polariton quantum cooperativity is within reach for currentsemiconductor resonator platforms. We further analyze how polaritonnonlinearities affect dynamical back-action, modifying the capability to coolor amplify the mechanical motion.
