Spin qubits in silicon and germanium quantum dots are promising platforms forquantum computing, but entangling spin qubits over micrometer distances remainsa critical challenge. Current prototypical architectures maximize transversalinteractions between qubits and microwave resonators, where the spin state isflipped by nearly resonant photons. However, these interactions causeback-action on the qubit, that yield unavoidable residual qubit-qubit couplingsand significantly affect the gate fidelity. Strikingly, residual couplingsvanish when spin-photon interactions are longitudinal and photons couple to thephase of the qubit. We show that large longitudinal interactions emergenaturally in state-of-the-art hole spin qubits. These interactions are fullytunable and can be parametrically modulated by external oscillating electricfields. We propose realistic protocols to measure these interactions and toimplement fast and high-fidelity two-qubit entangling gates. These protocolswork also at high temperatures, paving the way towards the implementation oflarge-scale quantum processors.
